If you\'re so familiar with Harris County and zoning, why did you say, The property has not always been zoned commercial, so impossible to ‘not buy’ a house there. That\'s an uninformed comment anywhere in Harris County, but particularly when talking about an area that borders a major thoroughfare, which Mason Road has been since it opened.I remember when the people in the neighborhoods around the proposed Katy Mills Mall were complaining about the increased traffic, noise, crime, property values, etc. They probably had a stronger complaint as their neighborhood was quite a ways off the freeway and could easily have had another neighborhood put in front of it. They got a berm out of it and as far as I can tell, none of their fears amounted to anything and they have the best seats for the fireworks.
